Donut or Doughnut Which is it?

The Merriam-Webster dictionary says it is doughnut with a definition of: a piece of sweet fried dough that is often shaped like a ring BUT lists donut as a "variant".

This variant spelling of "donut" is considered the Americanized spelling that has only been around for the last 75 years or so. Here at DoughBoys we are proud to use the "American" spelling of donuts and invite all our customers to as well.

P.S. the "American" version is spreading according to the Time's it is now common all over Europe as well!
