Donations are being accepted at both Doughboy’s locations: 5115 Mae Anne Avenue #B in Northwest Reno and 57 Damonte Ranch Parkway #101 in South. Only one free donut per customer.

National Donut Day, held annually on the first Friday in June, was established in 1938.

During World War I, The Salvation Army women, referred to as “Donut Girls”, would serve these treats to the soldiers. The American infantrymen were commonly called “doughboys”.
